Will Regis Philbin Be Replaced By a Woman?

Everyone is talking about who will replace Regis Philbin. The buzz was that Kelly Rippa's husband, Mark Consuelos, was the chosen one. "Live with Mark & Kelly" -- what do you think? Does that have the right ring to it?

There is a new rumor that the ABC is seriously considering Lisa Rinna! "Live with Lisa and Kelly"? Or "Live with Rippa & Rinna"? Interesting. If you think "The View" and how the women interact, it might not be a bad idea. After all, who is watching at 9am? Retired people, people who work at home, and women home with their children.

Lisa Rinna has filled in as co-host on Live many times. She also has substituted for Billy Bush on the daytime version of Access Hollywood. Soap opera fans remember her on her daily show on Soapnet's Soap Talk with Ty Treadway. She even won an emmy there. (What ever happened to Ty Treadway?)

But, the one thing that Lisa Rinna does not do is live in New York. It would be a big commute from LA to NYC. It is doubtful that she would move her family from the sunshine to the snow-covered streets of New York.
